Following recent project wins, including this HPC facility for a London-based research client, the design and build of high-performance computing data centres continues to be an expanding market for 2bm.

HPC data centres are a fast-growing segment, particularly in the research sector, where greater processing power and a higher density of servers are required to perform high volumes of calculations in a short amount of time.

We are now in the fit-out stage at a new data centre in London and have specified the use of overhead 3-phase busbars. These offer amazing flexibility, especially when rolling out low and high-density cabinets within the same environment. The use of busbars means that a number of different tap-off boxes, from 16amp – 63amp with either single and three-phase can also be installed.
