This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance (LNAA), having airlifted its first patient back in May 1994.

As the organisation celebrates such a huge milestone, 2bm has pledged to continue its ongoing support of the LNAA with a donation of over £1,000 this year, to a charity managing director Mark King describes as “having a significant impact on the lives of so many people in our region.”

“With annual operational running costs for the air ambulance service a staggering £13m, with around four flights each day, it costs on average £4,000 for each life-saving mission flown.

“When you consider that the LNAA receives no Government or NHS funding for its daily missions, it’s quite remarkable the quality and level of service it continues to provide year after year to the people of Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire,” added Mark.

It’s team of doctors and paramedics, which carry life-saving equipment on board the helicopter and critical care cars, has responded to over 29,000 missions during the past 30 years, including flying directly to the scene of some of the most serious incidents in Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire.
