Rack Security
The security of any ICT facility is of paramount importance. But whilst great thought is given to controlling access to the computer room, the security of the actual computer rack is often overlooked. 2bm is able to advise on a wide range of locking options. All of cabinets come fitted with swivel handle locks on both front and rear doors. Enhanced options include:
Individual Key per Cabinet
Each cabinet has its own unique key as opposed to the universal master key - one key fits all approach
Combination Lock
Extra protection is provided with user defined combination locks
Electronic Access Control with Full Audit
This is the complete rack access solution. For the authorisation, RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology is used. The handles are equipped with a card reader, which is able to read the information from the RFiD card. This card contains the authorisation information that is needed to unlock the swivel handle.
Management software is supplied with the system and is normally installed on a central server. This software can communicate over the network with the handles and equipment giving you full control of who enters each rack.
