The University of Nottingham has become the latest high profile organisation to opt for the 2bm iMeter.
The 2bm iMeter will be used to monitor power across two sites, providing invaluable data on consumption down to individual rack level.
The project, which will start in August, will see upwards of 200 intelliAmps installed, all linked back to the user friendly iMeter Management Software (iMS). The iMS is an extremely powerful data collection, analytical and reporting software suite that enables IT and Facilities personnel to manage data centre power usage more efficiently.
Both power and environmental data can be viewed and analysed in meaningful and intuitive formats so that decisions aimed at reducing power costs and improving operational efficiency can be made.
Commenting on the news, 2bm Sales Manager Neil Roberts said, “The 2bm iMeter was able to offer the University a cost effective alternative to other options, with a major plus being the lack of downtime to affect the installation.”
