2bm's SAR cabinet saw record sales in 2009, it's innovative and space saving design proving increasingly popular with data centre managers in both the UK and Europe.
And to that list can now be added North America, with the news of one large investment bank who were so impressed with what they saw they opted to make the SAR solution an integral part of their new facility in the Big Apple. Overseeing the project was 2bm's Senior Engineer Ian Gattrell who flew out to New York to supervise the installation.
"Having seen the many benefits the SAR cabinet brings to their data centre in London," said Ian, "the bank were extremely keen to see similar best practice in their US facility. We arranged for the racks to be shipped over there in January and I think the team in New York were delighted with what they saw."
These sentiments were echoed my 2bm Managing Director Mark King who has been heavily involved with the SAR rack since its inception.
"We always felt there was a gap in the market for the SAR rack," explained Mark. "And five years on we've been overwhelmed by its success. The product continues to evolve and we are excited about the prospects for the future. That will of course include further expansion in regions like North America and we are actively looking for partners in that region to help us take the product to market."
