Held at Le Golf National course in Paris, the tournament is one of the Tour’s showpiece events and attracted the crème of Europe’s best golfers. Going into the final day, Graeme was five off the pace, but a bogey free five under par round of 66 was enough to secure a one shot victory, seeing off the challenge from the likes of Colin Montgomerie and Thomas Bjorn. In addition to the €666,666 prize money, Graeme has qualified for the Open which takes place at Carnoustie later this month. He also jumps to 9th in the European Tour order of Merit. “Congratulations to Graeme from everyone at 2bm,” enthused 2bm Director Jason Preston. “He’s been promising to do this for a while now and I am sure it won’t be long until the next victory. I just wish I had had some money on it!” Fellow director Mark King was similarly pleased for Stormy. “I’ve been glued to the TV all day and it was certainly nerve racking towards the end.
